This is mine first opportunity to review any blog. So I don’t know what review will be like whether it would be good or just another post in mine blog’s funny category with the title: ‘Review By Atul’ 
. But as far as I have learnt something in blogging field, definitely I will try my best for the work allocated to me.
So, rather than wasting any time any more, let’s focus on the review.
As review is both of ins and outs, we will be covering both. Lets start with Introduction .
Introduction
The blog is owned and maintained by George Serradinho. In his blog, he talks about Blogging news, Blogging tips and tricks, WordPress, Downloads and even his Personal Life. The author also publishes some funny articles from time to time.
Analysis
Serradinho.com has been reviewed very well by Thesis Theme HQ. You can have a look at the review here:
Serradinho Review.Even Serradinho talks very well of Website review basic questions at Basics of Website Review Questions . Firstly I thought of covering all those points but those have been nicely explained by Thesis Theme HQ. So was no use in repeating the points with some + – added. So I’ll not go in any Technical analysis like CSS/XHTML validation as these all are covered by Thesis HQ.
Serradinho.com has recently moved its theme to Thesis, a SEO rich nice theme. If you too want to purchase Thesis, you can try that from Serradinho’s site:-) .
Blog’s content revolves from technical to humor. Some nice initiatives have also been taken by George as Friendship Chain Award

Pros
*Cartoon Image in header grabs the first attention of every user.
*Below every post, authors’s small description is placed with same cartoon image. Again a nice way to attract visitors.
*Besides posting blogging, wordpress realated technical posts, author sometimes tweaks funny posts too.
*Has some really loyal set of visitors.
*The blog is fast. I don’t even have to wait for images to load.
*With Alexa Rank: 151,090 and Google PR: 4, blog has already boasted of more than 1000 comments and around 550 posts. A nice stats. As per alexa, the blog is online since 28-Jan-2006 targetting maximum Indian audience(27%)
Cons/Alternatives
I was not getting any cons here to write but again you all understand I have to write:-) . So some are listed below:
*The major flaw which I saw is that blog has no page numbers on home page. Whether I may be wrong, but I didn’t find any way to see previous posts on home page. I am not going to check in Archives page. I would suggest to install WP-Page Numbers
*No protection of content. Anybody can copy the original content. Alternative is to install WP-Copy Protect
*I did not find any difference between Archives and SiteMap page:-) Just creating duplicacy.
*As per George, Entrecard gave him just 60 visitors in a month. So better remove it instead of showing others ads free of cost. Initially I was asking him to stick with Entrecard, but if this is the stats, better should leave it.
*User Comments takes same window. I think all external links should open in a new window so that user does not leave your site but remember your internal posts should obey the same web flow else you will annoy your visitors.
*May be the author has provided the facility of not allowing Google to crawl WP-admin pages but I did not find any entry of that in robots.txt.
Conclusion
Overall, Serradinho.com is a nice blog. Do have a visit atleast once and you will fall in love with the blog as me

Good review. I really like George’s site as well. I do have a question though. You wrote:

Most of the big probloggers site like JohnChow.com have comment links open in the same window. I always thought it makes sense to have them open in a new window as well, but have never done it, as the big bloggers must have a reason to do it the other way. Any idea why they do it that way?

I have been following George blog from last few months and I can say he is my Blogging friend. He is a nice and helpful guy and moreover a generous person. Meanwhile Atul it’s a nice initiative to review any blog and I hope many blogs will like it and will love to follow your footsteps.
The point about Entrecard which You have mentioned I also told him the same thing, though for now I think he will keep the Entrecard banner
