South Africa won from Pakistan

The all-rounder Jacques Kallis played well against Pakistan and made 83 runs. He also did nice balling by taking 3 wickets and giving 30 runs in 5 overs. The match was fifth one day against Pakistan. South Africa won this match from 57 runs and also captured the 5 matches’ series from 3-2.

South Africa won the toss and selected to bat first. With the help of opener Hashim Amla (62 runs from 47 balls with 9 fours and 1 six), AB De Villiers (61 runs from 72 balls), JP Duminy (59 runs from 41 balls with 8 fours) and Johan Botha (Not out at a score of 28); South Africa gave the difficult target of 317/5 in 50 overs. Pakistani Captain Shahid Afridi took 2 wickets while one wicket went in the account of Rawalpindi express Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Hafeez.

From Pakistani side, it was good start and the opening batsmen Shahzaid Hasan (39 runs from 42 balls) and Mohammad Hafeez (59 runs from 58 balls with 7 fours) gathered the partnership score of 82 in just 12.2 overs. But when Hasan lost his wicket, the team-players started to fall one by one. Whole team got dismissed at a score of 260 and was not able to stand even full 50 overs. They were able to play only 44.5 overs against the South Africans bowlers. Jacques Kallis of South Africa was given Man of the Match for his all-rounder game while the opener of the same team was chosen as Man of the Series.

The first match of the series was won by South Africa with 8 wickets. While the Pakistan team won the second match from 1 wicket. Again South Africa won the third match with 2 runs while the next match again went in favor of Pakistan team with 1 wicket again and thus the series was equalized with 2-2. But South Africa won the last match and also won the series.

According to the batsman Jacques Kallis, the South Africa cricket team is the best team in cricket and he said that they can win the World Cup which is going to be held in 2011. Kallis further added that this will be his last World Cup. He said that this time, the team is some special and all the players are in good form. Let us clear here that South Africa has not won any Cricket World Cup till now.
