The largest blood donation camp was organized by Dera Sacha Sauda and their spiritual master Baba Ram Rahim Gurmeet Singh on August 8, 2010. The organization is in Sirsa, Haryana of India.
DSS, Dera Sacha Sauda is a non-profitable spiritual organization with more than 40 million volunteers all over the world.
It is to mention here that Dera Sacha Sauda has recorded its name in the Guinness Book of World Records previously 2 times also in blood donation. First time it was on 7 December 2003, when 15,432 blood units were collected and second time was on 10 October 2004, when 17,921 donors donated blood.
This is the third time that the organization is boasting of their name in the World Records book.

The Blood Bank team members collected 43,732 units of blood within 15 hours, which saved 141,000 human beings lives. Many thousands of volunteers were still waiting for their turns to donate blood but the Blood-Collection teams gave up.
This Mega Blood Camp started on August 8, 2010 at 7 am in the morning when Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan inaugurated it by joining two ribbons. He told that the purpose is not to create any sort of world records but they wants to help humanity in every possible way. Now a days, there is an acute shortage of blood-supply everywhere and there’s a must need of it.
Ladies and Gents made huge queues and soon the registration started.
Adequate arrangements were made for this Huge Drive. More than 7,000 volunteers, 2500 beds, 50 Physicians, 500 members of Paramedical Staff, 200 Registration Counters were set to make this drive successful.
Separate arrangements were made for men and women. 4 Emergency Centers were also set up in the Donor’s Hall.
Around 100 Teams from all over India participated in this event to collect the human blood.
The organization announced to all the teams that it’s totally their wish that how much blood they want and can collect. They can take as much as they want.
Lots of blood was air lifted to far away destinations to save the precious human beings lives.
Till this date i.e. till 8 August 2010, this spiritual organization had donated a total of 195,375 units of blood.
They organize such blood-events every Saturday in their Sirsa headquarters. Along with this, the followers donate the blood in their respective cities and villages regularly.
Besides this great Human Welfare Work, this Spiritual Organization has also its name in the Guinness Book of World Records for the World’s Largest Tree Plantation Drive.
Along with this, the followers have formed a special welfare force by the name of ‘Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force’, that always help in all (any) sorts of natural calamities. Presently, it has 40,000+ members which include doctors, engineers, teachers, technicians, mechanics etc.
Not only in India, this organization and its Welfare Force helps in all over the World, may be it an Earthquake in Italy or at any other place. It goes wherever and whenever it gets permission from Indian Government to go.
It has also got many International Certificates from various World Governments as of America, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom etc.
