Every activity needs a theme for its success. The theme song for Commonwealth Games 2010 was awaited from a long time. The much awaited theme song is now in front of all of us. The song is launched at a gala function in Gurgaon on Saturday 28 Aug, 2010 and is composed by the great Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. For its composition, he had been working from the past six months.

The theme song “Jiyo, Utho, Badho, Jeeto” sung by A R Rahman gives a message to come out and play, make a rise and win. This common wealth song is full of inspiration, energy and motivation.

The song was released in the ceremony in the presence of Delhi’s Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, the Chief Minister of Haryana and Suresh Kalmadi, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of CWG.

It is the first time that the common-wealth games are going to take place in India. Also, this is also the second time when the games are taking place in Asia. The opening ceremony for the games will take place in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.

The games are scheduled to take place between 3rd of October to 14th of October. There are overall 12 days fixed for the games and the location is New Delhi, India.

It was a great honor for our country India to host the CWG Common Wealth Games. Huge number of audiences was present at the spot. People enjoyed a lot the CWG and the opening and closing ceremonies were really appreciable by all. This was a great fun for all people, especially Indians.
