Time 100 Most Influential People Of World

Like each year, this year also on Thrusday 29, 2010 Time magazine released its annual list of the Time 100 the world’s most influential people. In the list, people are recognized for changing the world, for better or for worse and those those recognized fall in one of five categories: Leaders & Revolutionaries, Builders & Titans, Artists & Entertainers, Scientists & Thinkers, and Heroes & Icons. 20 most influential people are selected within each category for a grand total of 100 each year. This year Time 100 is divided the list in four categories: artists, leaders, thinkers, and heroes. And there are 25 most influential people in each category with a grand total of 100.

Lady Gaga, who dance at nightclubs, is named as the Time Magazine’s most influential artist of 2010.  Conan O’Brien is on second while Kathryn Bigelow is on third place. In the other category Leaders Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is on Top following J.T. Wang and Admiral Mike Mullen. In Heros category Bill Clinton is on First and Zaha Hadid is on Top in the category Thinkers. There are also 9 Indians in the list including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Amartya Sen, Chetan Bhagat, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Atul Gawande, Sanjit Roy, P N Samy and Rahul Singh.
