Sachin Tendulkar, one of the best batsmen for all time has achieved many awards in a very short span of time of his life. Several institutions and organizations have renowned him and now the Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to honor Sachin Tendulkar with the post of Honorary Group Captain. Master Blaster is also known as God of Cricket and Little Master.

Sachin Tendulkar’s fans will have to wait for some time as there is a multi stage process that will happen before this prize would be given to the cricketer. First of all, Air Force has to send the file to the Defence Ministry with a proposal to honor the man with the post of Group captain.When the ministry will clear the file and will approve it, it will further go to the office of Prime Minister. And in the end, it will go to the President and Supreme Commander of the armed force for final approval.

There are more than 31 thousand record runs with total of 93 centuries in test and One day international cricket under the name of 37 year old Sachin Tendulkar. And now he will be the first cricketer who will be honored with this rank.

Previously, the Indian Army also honored the Ex all rounder cricketer Kapil Dev with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the Territorial Army. Kapil Dev was the captain of the world cup winning team ofIndiain 1983. The film star Mohanlal was also been honored by Territorial Army for the same post in 2008.
