This is the second time Google is organizing the competition “Doodle for Google” for students. Last year, this competition was won by a forth class student Charu Pratap Singh and the theme for this first edition competition was “My India”. The Doodle made by this student shined on Google as its logo for whole of the day. The registration process of the contest for this year is currently going on.

The theme of competition for this year is “My Dream India”. Google has invited designs from the young doodlers from India for the coming Children’s day in November. According to the rules of this contest, the students participating have to draw the picture as the Doodle of the dream India after 20 years. The students from class 1st to class 10th can participate in this contest. The Indians can also vote on the doodles designed by the participating students.

The schools who want to participate in this competition can register themselves online. Besides this, the students can also register themselves individually for the contest.

Google has divided the students in three groups. In the first group, there are students from the 1st class to 3rd class, the second group includes the students from 4th to 6th and in the third group, there are 7th to 10th class students. Around 600 doodles designed by these students will be selected for quarter final. The decision of the judges would be final in all respects. 45 out of these 600 doodles will be selected for semifinal and then on 25 October 2010, they would be placed on Doodle 4 Google website for online-voting so that Indian peoples can vote . The last date of Doodle submission is 25 September 2010. The finalists will be announced on 25 October 2010. The public can vote online from 25th Oct to 5 November 2010. The name of the winner will be announced in early November 2010.
