Saina Nehwal Wins Singapore Open Badminton 2010

Saina NehwalHisar born Hyderabadi girl, 21 year old Saina Nehwal here on Sunday at Singapore Indoor Stadium won the Singapore open badminton tournament beating the Chinese Tzu Ying Tai of Taipei, China. To won the final match of the tournament, Saina defeated this Chinese player in the straight sets of 21-18 and 21-15.

Saina is currently holding 6th number in the world as per ranking and it was not so tough for her to get this title and she just took 33 minutes to beat Tzu Ying Tai.

This is the second super title for Saina. Last year on 21 June 2010, she also won the Indonesian Open, which was her first super series.

She told the reporters that she was losing the match in the first half but she did not lose the hopes and took a firm determination that she will definitely win. And this worked for her. She further added that the idea of self-promising worked for her and if a human being takes the oath that she/he has to win then no one can stop her/him.

Bhupender Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana also congratulated Miss Nehwal for winning Singapore open badminton tournament. Please note that the girl was born in Hisar but when her parents shifted in Hyderabad, she started living with them in Hyderabad itself.

The sports girl is touching new heights at this very small age and when someone asks her the reason of her success, she says that it is her parents’ blessings and her hard-work that she is getting all this at this very age. And above all is GOD’s grace.
